My name is Joy.
I’m an eighteen year old actress, fresh out of sixth form.
I’ve been acting since I was four years old and have known since then that was what I wanted to do for a career.
However then I wanted to work as a firewoman at night.
Every actor and actress of my age spews this line and many others to directors, casting directors and drama colleges.
‘I’ve been acting since I was in utero’
‘I’ve always wanted to be an actor’.
‘I was the best actor in my class in highschool.’
‘I have a distinction in LAMDA exams’.
But I’m different.
I’m cynical.
I’ve gained life experience from terrible yet maturing moments in my life.
I’m energetic and very talkative.
I am hardworking and put 110% to get to my goal.
These things mean that I will fight to get to where I want to be.
This blog will detail my journey to drama college and beyond and the experiences I have along the way.
